About Dedd Bugz
What are Dedd Bugz?
The Dedd Bugz characters evolved from my "creatures" sketchbooks over many years. They represent my love for nature, animals, the Day of the Dead, and the concept of the Sacred Clown. Since I was a child, I have had recurring dreams about clowns. The clown of my childhood dreams was a Lakota, Sacred Clown, or Heyoka. The Heyoka was revered as a spiritual teacher, reflecting truths to others through humor.
These sweet macabre characters are reminders to be joyful, kind, compassionate, hopeful, and find humor in every situation. Also, as a reminder that what we do to this planet, we do to ourselves as all life is connected. We must act as caretakers of this Earth because ultimately, we are the Dedd Bugz.
